La Cité is on the list of top employers in the National Capital Region-again!
The largest French-language Collège in Ontario is again a standout in the annual ranking of Mediacorp Canada Inc.
Ottawa, February 5, 2014 – In the annual exercise conducted by Mediacorp Canada Inc. to determine the best employers in the country, La Cité, the Collège of applied arts and technology, has ranked among the best employers in the National Capital Region for the third consecutive year.
Various criteria are examined in the evaluation process that leads to the establishment of the prestigious list of Canada’s Top 100 Employers. These criteria include the atmosphere at work, the physical qualities of the workplace, overall compensation, employee commitment and participation in community life.
Lise Cloutier, Chair of the Board of Directors of La Cité, emphasizes: “We know our employees are our most important resource and the key to our success. We are deeply committed to offering them a working environment of the highest quality, and we are very proud of the fact that our efforts in this area have been recognized.”
Lise Bourgeois, President of La Cité, added: “I am very happy to see La Cité once again win this distinction and appear on such a prestigious list. The success of our students obviously depends on the commitment and dedication of our staff, and on our constant commitment to innovation. As our strategic plan Vision 2018 clearly indicates, the Collège aims to create a healthy working environment that encourages creativity and the emergence of new ideas. By continuing to develop new ways of attracting, retaining and inspiring our staff, La Cité will keep on meeting its needs and those of its employee for years to come.”
In today’s edition, The Ottawa Citizen published a special report highlighting the employers recognized as the best in the National Capital Region.
As the flagship institution of French-language college education in Ontario, La Cité puts the success of its students first and foremost, offering them facilities with leading-edge technology and a learning environment focused on practical, modern, forward-looking experiential learning practices. Graduates of the Collège are recognized as skilled, committed and creative professionals who can contribute to economic, social and cultural development in Ontario, Canada and elsewhere.
